After working with Dr. Ortiz I gained a better understanding of my condition and learned about the most appropriate treatments for me.

Dr. Ortiz was the first doctor that listened to me and provided me with a diagnosis. She helped me and my wife understand what I’m dealing with and what to expect, all while being very compassionate. Dr. Ortiz is a treasure. Not too many people look forward to going to a doctor appointment, but I did.

Dr. Ortiz listens to her patients and treats each one as an individual. She helped me manage my medical condition by listening to me and helping me stay on top of my health. Sometimes she just listened to my fears and brought a reasonable and educated point of view to help me.

Dr. Ortiz was the first doctor I have met that takes her time with each patient and truly listens to your concerns. She is very knowledgable, is up to date on all forms of treatments and takes time with each patient, is kind and is a great listener. Dr. Ortiz doesn’t just look at her patients as “just another appointment to get through.” She truly see’s each individual as a person.

Dr. Ortiz was easy to talk to and spent time listening to my questions and always explained things clearly. Visits were like visiting an old friend.

Dr. Ortiz always has my health as her priority. Even with a difficult to manage disease, she makes reasonable recommendations and makes sure I am comfortable with moving forward to new treatment plans. I love her warmth and bedside manner as well as her responsiveness to my concerns and her trust that I knew my body best.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Ortiz to any family or friends. In fact, I actually did recommend my mother to her! She made sure that I knew which steps we were taking and why we were taking those steps. One of my favorite things about Dr. Ortiz is she makes you feel safe to be able to discuss anything.

Prior to meeting Dr. Ortiz, I was resigned to the idea that I would live with daily arthritic pain. I lived in fear that things like the weather or stress would send me into a debilitating episode. Dr. Ortiz worked to come up with a treatment plan that improved my arthritis tremedously (to the point that I now live 100% pain free) while not impacting my quality of life. Aside from receiving great medical care, I am very fond of Dr. Ortiz’s jovial nature, I always feel like she is not just happy to see me, but sincerely wants to see me thriving.

She has a great combination of bedside manner, technical skill, and an excellent understanding of rheumatoid disease. She sees the disease and the person, not just the disease.

I was able to maintain remission longer than I did in the past with Dr. Ortiz’s guidance. I would recommend Dr. Ortiz to my friends and family because she truly cares about her patients and only wants the best for them.

After working with Dr. Ortiz to find a combination of lifestyle changes and medications that managed my AS, I had improved posture, fitness, and energy, which ended years of discomfort and pain. She was clear, direct, and compassionate with my case, helping me understand my conditions and plan for my future with a tailored approach.

I always look forward to seeing Dr. Ortiz in clinic, she made a huge difference during a very stressful time in my life. In the midst of a daunting diagnosis, she always made me feel better.
